Carol Hall, PH.D., CFA (Principal):

Carol V. Hall has been a Principal in BioVenture Consultants since 1988 and has been part of the biotechnology industry since 1981. Dr. Hall is the founding editor-in-chief of BioVenture Consultants Stock Report and has contributed many articles analyzing important financial and technical events to BioVenture View. She is a frequent speaker on topics related to financial issues in the biotechnology industry. Dr. Hall is a member of the Kinetek Biotechnology Corp. Board of Directors. She is a contributing author to "Alternative Careers in Science: Leaving the Ivory Tower" (Academic Press).

Dr. Hall received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Stanford University, Stanford, California and completed post-doctoral training in Molecular Biology and Immunology at DNAX Research Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Inc., Palo Alto, California, a subsidiary of Schering-Plough Corporation. Dr. Hall earned a Certificate in Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

In addition to her strong background in the basic sciences, Dr. Hall spent six years within the financial community that serves the Bioscience Industry. Prior to joining BioVenture Consultants, Dr. Hall served as a Biotechnology Analyst at Shearson, Lehman Brothers' San Francisco-based Davis, Skaggs Division, where she followed public biotechnology companies for retail and institutional clients and analyzed private biotechnology firms. She then joined Sutro & Company's San Francisco-based corporate finance department and advised biotechnology companies on the timing and strategy for raising funds, coordinated preparation of documentation and closing of transactions, and prepared valuations for private companies. More recently, she was a member of Jesse & Co., San Francisco, California, a private investment banking group specializing in leveraged buy-outs and company restructurings.
